Two years ago, I read a book that just left me feeling burden. Never in my life have I read a story where I could relate so much to character when we both had very, very different lifestyles. The things the main character, Charlie, went through I have never experience but yet he was so relatable. Charlie is such an odd but normal character. I know that is an oxymoron but if you’ve read the book, you know what I am talking about. You can’t really categorize this book by Stephen Chbosky. It is like no other I’ve read.
“And in that moment, I swear we were infinite.” – Charlie
Today, the movie is released so you bet your bottom dollar I will be seeing it. You know how when you read a book and you hear they are making a movie out of it, you hope they stay true to the book. Because let’s face it, the book is ALWAYS better than the movie. Well I don’t think I will have to worry about it this time because Chbosky is actually the director. When you read the book, it is like you are seeing the movie. True story. His writing makes you feel that way. So if you have nothing better to do, why don’t you catch a movie with a brilliant story. You won’t regret it and just think in that moment, you might feel infinite.
Until next time
